About Natural Learning Concepts Photo Cards:
While picture cards are an important tool in the treatment of autism, store-bought cards are not necessary for every family. Those of you who have more time than money will be better off making your own.

That said, we realize that for many of you your most precious commodity is time. Or perhaps the bigger issue is that all your creative propensities are used up just staying one step ahead of your child, and it is worth it to you to have some of the thinking done for you. If you match either one of those descriptions, then it is for you that we offer these cards.

Natural Learning Concepts has released a complete line of quality laminated cards. These unique flashcards are not only sturdy enough to handle any food-related motivators you use, but also are specifically designed for working with children with autism. Every picture has been specifically selected to be both interesting and instructive for a child with autism. The photos range from simply stunning wildlife shots to pictures of common food, appliances, furniture, and pictures of children at work and play. The quality also ranges from top-notch professional pictures to snapshot quality, and everywhere in-between. Each set covers a specific topic and is designed to build your child's ability to label, answer questions, understand features, functions, and classes, learn beginning conversational skills and so on.

Each series has a different content focus but they virtually all include sample questions, statements or other information on the reverse of the card, making each set truly ready-to-use. There is absolutely no need to limit yourself to their ideas, (see our expanded list of ideas here) but theirs are great thought starters, and you can always jot down more ideas on the cards with a permanent marker - or use a wipe-off marker for temporary notes.
